GCSE Results over Time
At FBEC we are extremely proud of all of our students and celebrate their amazing examination successes. For a number of years the school has boosted GCSE results for our students and has, during this time, achieved a considerable number of successes including:
• The school has been identified as one of the top 100 most improved schools in England.
• The school has received national rankings for progress as high as top 5% in England Overall, Top 7% for Maths in England; Top 6% in England for English (FFT)
• Since 2013, progress 8 measures has been consistently positive for students
Progress in 2019
Progress rates in 2019 remain above average (0.23) ranking the 32nd Percentile in England and %9 – 4 rates in English & Maths combined of 62% are in line with National rates. The school also has the following successes:
• Achievement 8 (Best 8 grades) is a school record
• Our Attainment 8 scores are 4.78 is a school record
• The school has record results in %9-5 grades in English and Maths
• In 2019 Option subjects continue to perform very highly (estimated rank – Top 10% in England)
• Disadvantaged student perform better than most schools in England with a progress score of -0.06 (compared to National Average of -0.4)
